Sovitec’s Echostar® products are the result of a highly technical manufacturing process and are recognized for their excellent retro-reflection potential in dry as well as in wet conditions. The spheres have a very high physical and chemical resistance.

Glass Bead Peening

Glass bead peening is an effective way of increasing the fatigue properties of metal parts and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The Masterblast® beads are hard and lightweight thus producing a high magnitude layer of residual compressive stress while leaving a smooth surface finish.

OMicron®

OMicron® solid glass beads are hard, resistant (high crush strength), inert, spherical and have excellent chemical and heat resistance.

Echostar® BCP Tecno

Our Echostar® BCP Tecno range consists of glass spheres with a special surface treatment acting as a hardener. The glass beads enhance the polymerization of the resin (component A) in multi-component road marking systems and provide high retro reflectivity and durability. This marking technology is accessible for any type of machine. Due to this technology the road marking dries quicker and more efficiently decreasing the down times of application and reducing the overall costs of striping.

Echostar® WBP Be Fast

In order to use waterborne paints in combination with special polymer emulsions based on the Fastrack TM technology,  Sovitec® and Dow teamed up to create a specific product family called Echostar Be Fast R. This product family is applied like any other traditional Drop-on bead range.

Echopure®

Sovitec’s Echopure® glass beads are worldwide recognized as the best glass beads in their class. The beads with a refractive index above 1,55 are manufactured via a unique process creating bead sizes between 400µm and 2000 µm at a quality level above 90%.
